KITSON Architecture has a core team of three chartered architects supported by a dedicated network of other professionals including architectural technicians, consultants and interior designers.

Mark Kitson

Director

BA Dip Arch M Arch RIBA

Mark is a chartered Architect with 20+ years experience working throughout the UK.

He has undertaken the role of lead consultant on a variety of highly successful projects in the Hotel & Leisure, Refurbishment, Data Centre, Masterplanning, Retail and Sports Sectors.

On recent projects Mark has worked with Cable & Wireless Worldwide/Vodafone, QHotels, Freshwater, ALDI, Macdonald Hotels and Centrica on projects across the country.

When not slaving over a hot drawing board Mark enjoys the good things in life – Cinema both new and classic, baking (it’s in the genes), a decent beer and spending time with his family – not necessarily all at the same time. He has recently started to relive his childhood with the new Lego Architecture range – that’s where it all started.

Ellen Kitson

Director

BA(Hons) PG Dip Arch RIBA

Ellen is a chartered architect with over 20 year’s industry experience. Originally specialising in retail she has worked extensively across the sectors including commercial, hotel and leisure, healthcare, industrial, data centre and residential design. She prides herself on her highly professional and organised approach to all aspects of her work and her personable and practical attitude has cultivated an ability to gel with all members of the design team and build lasting relationships with consultants and clients. She loves nothing more than the challenge of seeing a project start on site which is when she feels the fun really starts!

Getting out of the office to network and socialize are high on Ellen’s agenda and she is actively involved with 20/20 networking which raises money for a local children’s charity whilst building business links in a supportive environment. With funding from the Executive Development Programme Ellen has recently dabbled in Public Speaking and has spoken at both networking events and to the sixth form at her former secondary school in Sheffield. Through her involvement with the charity BW3 Ellen has contributed to careers events at primary schools in Wythenshawe and supported the work of a local MP by providing advice on school design.

In her spare time Ellen enjoys spending time with her daughter, visiting (the tearoom) at National Trust properties, travel, literature, food and naturally a passion for retail ‘research’.
