The practice was appointed by a private client to undertake the extension and refurbishment of this 17th Century cottage within the High Weald Area of Outstanding National Beauty, East Sussex.
The design solution allows the existing character of the half-timbered and brickwork original building to be enhanced by a new two storey extension using a modern SIP system clad in reclaimed materials. The fabric of the building has been enhanced to form a more sustainable dwelling in keeping with the requirements of a modern family.
